Puppies & Kittens Shampoo

I absolutely love this brand. One of the issues I have with previous products by other brands is the shampoo takes too long to lather up, a problem when you have a reluctant dog in the bath desperate to jump out. Barkin & Meowson's shampoo lathers fast. It is fragrance-free so my dog didn't itch and her sensitive skin didn't react. You only need a little so I anticipate this bottle lasting as long as previous products by this brand. It rinses off fast too leaving my dog's coat soft and shiny as it is naturally. Top value for money given that you don't need much. Cleans off mud, fox poo and grass quickly and with minimal stress. Oats are well known for being kind to sensitive skin.

He loves water but doesn't like chemical scents. I was surprised when I unpacked this as he headed for the bottle and started to rub the top with his cheek, a sign of approval! The shampoo rinses off easily and smells pleasant to humans as well as cats. A little goes a long way and so it should last a while. It worked well, cleansing his long hair and it left his fur silky soft and glossy. For the price of £15.95, at the time of this review, this is good value for money. 5 stars.

This arrived well-packed. I received a bottle of shampoo for puppies.350ml bottle.I like that this is free from parabens and sulfates.It has a lovely texture and is gentle on the skin.Nice scent and lathers well.This is great for sensitive skin and leaves a nice soft, shiny coat. Good for long or short coats.The oat extract is a lovely addition which has been used in shampoos to nourish and help with sensitive skin.Gentle formula for cats and dogs.I would recommend

I bought this shampoo for my puppy because I missed the socialization window with my older dog and now she hates water! The packaging is beautiful and the scent is lovely and mild Perfect for a puppy.The shampoo lathers nicely without being too much and has left my puppy looking even cuter and feeling softer than before. I didn’t think that was possible! Most importantly, it hasn’t irritated her skin at all which is a huge relief, especially when trying something new. It’s gentle, high quality and since puppies don’t need regualar baths this bottle will last a long time making it great value for money.Highly recommend for anyone looking for a gentle, effective and puppy friendly shampoo.

We used this shampoo for our dash hound who has some skin issues on his underbelly. The texture is gentle and easy to apply, and it lathers well without making him uncomfortable. The scent is mild and not strong, which he seemed to tolerate well during bath time.After about a week of using it, we have already noticed some improvement in the irritated areas on his underbelly. His skin looks less red and seems calmer, and his coat feels softer. Overall it works well for sensitive skin, though we are still monitoring his progress to see more long-term results.

This puppy shampoo is a gentle formula that is paraben free and sulphate free, so I feel safe using it on my puppy. It lathers up well and has a soft, subtle scent of vanilla. It did a great job of cleaning his fur while not stripping it. I love that it contains oatmeal, as it really helps to soothe the skin. It is pricier than other puppy shampoos, but I'm happy to pay more for a higher quality item, especially when it comes to my pets. I also use it with the matching conditioner, and the pair leaves his coat clean and hydrated.

This is a great pump-action shampoo that we've been using on our Cockapoo puppy (5 months).We try not to wash him too often, but this time foxes got into the garden and (too our horror) he seemed overjoyed to roll around in their muck.So a bath was necessary,Barkin & Mewson massages in well, rinses out easily, and has a gentle fragrance that is not too overpowering for little noses.Whilst I can't say he enjoyed being in the bath, it did a great job washing out the foul smell and left his coat lovely and soft. No irritation noted, and it did leave him smelling wonderful!

The shampoo itself smells so lovely and its a great consistency that lathers up very nicely and is really sensitive on my dogs skin so I can see this lasting a very long time, however upon arrival my bottle didn't come with the dispenser in it which makes bath time now that little bit more difficult as i now need both hands to get the shampoo out, its not necessarily the company's fault as it obviously happened when being shipped by amazon however it may mean the bottle itself isnt as high quality as others as ive never had this happen before with any other dispenser bottle, just something to watch out for!

This smells actually quite nice, not too over powering but subtle enough to get rid of any bad dogs/puppy smells. This bubbles up nicely and washes off really nicely. Our little furbabys coat went from dry and dirty to now clean with a nice healthy shine. The bottle is reasonable size and this will no doubt last us over a year as dog baths should only be given every few months unless they roll around in something they shouldn't.Of time of review the price is around £15 which I feel is reasonable value for moneyHighly recommend 👍🏻

Love this product! It seems very gentle on my puppy. We use it quite often to rinse his paws after muddy walks and we use it for weekly baths. No scent, gentle wash and preserves my puppy's shiny hair

This brand is amazing. Every item I have got has had a lovely fragrance to it. The dog is looking beautiful clean and shiny. He is not in any distress when using these products and he is left feeling lovely and soft too.

This gentle puppy shampoo delivers where it matters - its mild and kind to puppy and also cleans very well, leaving puppy smelling lovely. I like the pump which frees up my hands. Overall this is a quality product.

This is a lovely product. I would’ve normally opted for a scent free shampoo but this has a really nice smell to it. That is not dis similar to the type of product I would opt to use myself. I trust this company and their care not to include any nasty ingredients. It is a generous 350 mL pump dispenser. So nice and easy to use. It lathers up well and a little does go very far so I can see this bottle lasting is a very long time which does mean it represents good value for money recommended.

I used this shampoo to wash my puppy. The bottle is very easy to operate, push it down and pump. It has a good consistency, and lathers quite well. It is easy enough to wash out, and leaves my puppy fur smelling very nice and much softer.

My dog is not a pup, but i use this shampoo as it is caters to sensitive skin, and it is the absolute best!!! Lathers phenomenally, the fragrance is amazing, both me and my dog loooove it. And his coat is incredibly soft after. Recommend it 100%

Nice puppy shampoo - has a nice smell which is not overpowering or sickly in any way.Gives a lively lather and rinses off very easily (helpful with a wiggly pup!)No issues with skin irritation noted.Nice brand - will now look at other products they do.

Lovely stuff and I e tried quite a bit of the range now . Always lathers well with very little.used amd washes out easily. The results are clear and very obvious that he's so clean and soft and so glossy.

Generally speaking, it's not necessary or kind to bathe kittens or puppies on a regular basis, but there are occasions when it becomes necessary, in which case, the milder and more gentle the product, the better.  While I would normally prefer an unscented product for pets, particularly cats, this has a gentle fragrance which leaves a soft, vanilla/woody freshness that smells like it's based on natural fragrances. In fact, it smells so good I'm tempted to try some myself!  What I think isn't really the point though - it's whether it's gentle enough for young animals, and since this has been approved by a veterinary dermatologist, contains no sulphates or parabens and rinses out well, I feel reassured. Meanwhile, the oat extract used in this shampoo has been used for centuries to nourish and soothe the most delicate skin, and leaves the coat soft and fresh.In the interests of thorough testing, I tasted a tiny bit of the product off my hand and found that although I could detect the aroma slightly, there was no real taste - to me, at least - and this was before rinsing, so I am reassured about the cat grooming herself after using this provided it's been rinsed off thoroughly.
